Poker.

A poker game is played with 2 to 10 players. The goal of each player is the same: win the pot which consists of different bids made by players throughout the game. There are two ways to win the pot: have the best hand (that is to say the best combination of cards) or bluff, in other words to get his opponents by convincing them that it holds the best hand.

Vocabulary of Poker.

- Checker (to check) = Do not bet but stay in. This is possible as no other player has bet.
- Building / Open = Be the first to bet.
- Follow (to call) = Bet the same amount that the player has to stay open in the current game.
- Restart (To raise) = go on about the current bet.
- On-raise (To raise) = Raise a raise.
- Skip (to fold) = Cancel then lose the game and the bets you have already paid to the pot during the previous betting rounds.

Texas Hold'em.

The goal in a game of Texas Hold'em Poker is once again win the pot, either by having the best hand or by bluffing to get other players.

Each player composes his hand by combining his two hole cards (which he only knows) and five open cards (arranged progressively in the middle of the table and therefore visible to all). The best hand in Texas Hold'em Poker is the best 5 cards out of 7 in which each player has.

Beginning of the game.

The game proceeds in the direction of clockwise. Each player starts the game with a sum called "Carpet". The donor of the table is indicated by a button marked "D". Each player receives two cards face down and each part, the button travels from player to player in the direction of clockwise.

A bet called "blind" is posted in advance by both players after the dealer. The blinds are designed to spur action by forcing two players to place bets. There is a small blind and big blind one. Each player receives two cards and the game begins. The player seated to the left of the big blind is he who speaks first.

First round of betting.

Each player must then choose between three possible actions: follow ("cal"), raise ("raise") or pass ("Crazy"). If no one raises, the player who placed the blind has already bet half the amount required to stay in the current game and see other cards. One who placed the big blind has bet the amount required to stay involved and see other cards, but it is also possible to restart. If a stimulus occurs, the next player has the choice between re-raise ("re-raise"), call or fold. The cards of each player who passes are removed from the table.

The Flop.

Three cards (visible) called "The Flop" are placed in the center of the table. The remaining players combine these cards with their two cards to form a combination as strong as possible. A second betting round is initiated.

The Turn.

A fourth upcard (known as "The Turn") is placed next to the flop. Players try again to make the strongest possible combination with four cards from the table and their two initial cards. A third betting round starts again on the same principle.

River.

The fifth and last open card (called "The River") is placed and the fourth round of betting begins. Players can re-raise, call or fold. If at the end of the tour, several players arrived at the same level of betting, one who has the highest hand wins the pot. If several players have exactly the same combination, the pot is split between them. If a player is only one bid and that the other players pass, he wins the pot without showing his game The game is then complete.
